CRM and ATS through MCP: operations and approvals

CRM and ATS through MCP: operations and approvals - AI & Technology

Check operations exposed by the connector

An MCP connector is useful when it exposes the operations your work needs rather than merely carrying the MCP label. Request capabilities accessible to your user and test reading, searching and a change you can inspect. Hice's catalog covers several operational modules while preserving user identity and permissions.

The catalog is not equivalent to every interface gesture. Some activities may require the app, a file or a specific flow. If the assistant cannot call an operation, it should not report it as completed. For a new workflow, verify every step: data read, proposal, confirmation and saved result.

Read, prepare and confirm a change

Requesting a report differs from updating an opportunity. Hice's connector separates reading from preparing writes: the assistant proposes an action, shows its details, and confirmation must concern that proposal. The AI product's approval can add another check.

For a practical trial, ask to change one field on a known record and inspect its identifier, previous value and proposed value. If the request changes, prepare a new proposal. Assistant approval preferences do not remove confirmations required by the connector or broaden your user's permissions.

How to evaluate an AI-compatible CRM or ATS

Run the same trial on the products you evaluate: save a profile, retrieve it, link it to a company or search, and ask the assistant for an analysis based on that record. Check whether the connector reads current data, handles permissions and shows changes before execution. Built-in chat and an external connector serve different needs.

Add practical criteria: plan limits, attachments, exports, duplicate checks and installation. Avoid rankings based only on model names or integration counts. Hice is an option for connecting ATS, CRM and operational records; the trial should concern your actual workflow.

Free plans, desktop and mobile devices

Hice integration is included without an extra charge, including on Hice's free plan. This does not guarantee that every assistant's free plan exposes the connection or all its functions. Check your account for connector availability and provider limits. A LinkedIn subscription is not needed for standard profiles accessible free of charge.

MCP describes the connection rather than guaranteeing support in every interface. When switching from web to desktop or phone, try reading the same record and check available actions. A company API key in Hice chat is a different path with separate configuration and costs.
