An integration is useful when it preserves record identity, context and ownership. Before automating a change, test a limited read and verify which operations are actually available to the user.
Steps and checks
- Define the source record, owner and expected outcome.
- Prepare a sample with complete records, a duplicate and an exception.
- Run the workflow with two roles and record steps, corrections and authorization.
- Export the output and reconcile counts, relationships and values with the source.
- Repeat after a change and assign an owner to open exceptions.
In HICE, open AI integrations, connect a supported assistant using the offered authentication flow and verify authorized operations. Start with a search on your records; review records, fields and scope before confirming a change. Use the linked guide for the current flow. MCP
Define the outcome and records
For this topic the control starts with KPIs from operational records, targets and access levels.
A KPI measures an outcome with unit, period, source and calculation rule. A dashboard displays metrics; a report must let readers reconcile them with records. Every percentage ratio needs a stated denominator.
Define source and filters before the target. Hypothetical example: 30 outcomes from 40 records is 75%; the same 30 from 50 is 60%. Fix the denominator and compare periods using the same rule.
A pilot on the complete workflow
Compare a team KPI with its underlying records. If a row is corrected, the owner should understand the change: an updated chart does not replace a clear metric definition.
Before the demo, write three required outcomes and one acceptable tradeoff. Value recovered time only after measuring on the same basis. Have the actual owner complete a cycle and retain errors, corrections and final output. If the pilot stops halfway, identify the missing module, integration or step in the quotation.
Rules, exceptions and work cost
Define who enters, corrects and approves records. Test an incomplete record, a duplicate and a change after closure. The decision changes when records can be exported with relationships rather than manually reconstructed. Count licenses, onboarding, team time and integration maintenance separately.
Apply the workflow in HICE
HICE uses records from other modules for personal, team and company KPIs alongside targets and org structure. It is useful when a number should lead to the records and responsibilities explaining it rather than another collection spreadsheet.
